Origen Music started with recording of the Russian Orthodox Church sacred choral music. In 1995 the founder of Origen Music Alexsey Zakharenko released CD "All Night Vigil" by Kiev Theological Academy Choir. They performed traditional chants and praise and worship music of Kiev Pechersk (Caves) Monastery. It was the first church music CD released in the Ukraine after the break down of the USSR and till now days it is one of the best examples of Russian Orthodox church choral music recordings.
In 1996 Origen music began collaboration with Kiev Chamber Choir, which is now one of the best chamber choirs in the world. The first CDs by Kiev Chamber Choir: "Praise the Lord-Russian Sacred Choral Music of the 19-early 20th century "and “Masterpieces of Ukrainian Baroque Choral Music" were recorded and released by Origen Music in the end of 1996.
